H20 Timber Beam – The Lightweight, High-Strength Backbone of Concrete Formwork Systems

H20 timber beam is the core load‑bearing component for concrete formwork systems, manufactured according to DIN EN 13377 standard. With 200×80mm I‑section structure, it features light weight and excellent bending resistance. Multiple custom lengths are available for high‑reuse cycles. Widely used in wall, slab, bridge and other formwork projects. Factory direct supply, OEM & ODM and export packaging services are supported.

H20 Timber Beam – Lightweight, High-Strength Formwork Support for Concrete Construction

The H20 timber beam (H20 wood I-beam) is one of the most widely used load-bearing components in concrete formwork systems, named after its 200mm section height. Its engineered I-section combines low weight with high load capacity, making it a universal companion beam for wall formwork, slab formwork, table formwork and shoring systems — fully compatible with Doka, Peri and other mainstream formwork brands.

Key Benefits

- Lightweight: only ~4.6–5.0 kg/m — about half the weight of steel beams of equal capacity; one worker can handle it, cutting lifting and labor costs;
- High strength: superior I-section mechanics with stable bending and shear resistance;
- High reuse: 200+ reuse cycles with proper maintenance — lower total cost per use;
- Dimensionally stable: quality solid-wood flanges + multi-layer web resist deformation; consistent batch quality;
- Easy to work: can be cut, drilled and notched on site to any required length;
- Fully compatible: works with mainstream formwork connectors, clamps and props.

Applications

- Concrete wall formwork;
- Slab formwork (with film-faced plywood panels);
- Table formwork systems;
- Shoring (with adjustable steel props / ADJ props);
- Tunnel forms, bridges and large concrete structures.
